Today March 2nd, 2021 marks the 10th #16BarChallenge to be launched on the Who's Got Bars Facebook page. The group and the challenge were created by City Chief and Wild Bill of the Tennesse Stix.
The beats for this challenge have been collaborations by beatmakers such as Scatterbrains, Jon Conner, Train Wreck Kenny, City Chief, and Bobby Brisco. Bobby Brisco and City Chief created the beat for challenge number 9 and again for 10.
There have been so many talented people to accept this challenge and post the best bars they could. In the past, there have been rules such as no edits, no studio recordings or videos, etc. Number 10 has NO RULES. You wanna record a video, go ahead. Without the rules being specified to certain criteria, it sets a tone for the competitors to aim higher and give the judges a harder time deciding.
City Chief, Adam Calhoun and Wild Bill are the judges and will decide the winner on March 30th, 2021. This group and its style of doing things was created to help the unknown artist have a chance to be seen and heard. There are many well-known Country Rap artists that watch all of the challenges. Meaning if you have shown that you not only can go bar for bar on the mic but you invested in yourself by giving a visual, you are more apt to be both seen and heard.
